About GB Shooting School
GB Shooting is led by Guy Bond who is well-known internationally in the shooting community.
Born in 1961 on the family farm in Whitchurch near Aylesbury, Guy was introduced to shooting in his early years and won his first competition at just 15 years old. He competed locally, winning the Bucks county championships in 1985 and then internationally in the addictive sport of clay pigeon shooting. In 1987 he was ranked 7th in the world championships in Portugal, so he really is Bond 007!
Guy no longer shoots competitively but is still involved in team management. From 1993 to 2007 he managed the unbeaten GB FITASC shooting team and was an international Board member for several years. Due to time commitments he no longer travels abroad with the GB team but is currently managing the England FITASC shooting team competing in the annual Home International shooting tournament with Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
Within the Young Farmers movement Guy has played an active role in public speaking and drama and has won several Oscars in various productions. In 1983 in a variety show at the Roses Theatre, Tewksbury he became the ‘Best Actor’ in Southern England!
He also teaches public speaking, speech writing and after dinner speaking.
